Here is my Sub binder.  You never know if you'll go into a classroom where a teacher has left plans on the desk or absolutely no plans.  Just be prepared no matter what the case may be for the day.  I came up/looked for lesson plans and activities for Pre-Kindergarten all the way through the 8th grade and also included answer keys for each packet or activity I created or found.  For each grade level there are lesson plans for reading, math, science, and social studies....

So a few people have asked how my first day of subbing went. I am happy to report that the day went great! It was such a thrill to have this experience "back in the classroom". No sub plans for today. Good thing I have my bag of teacher tricks! I will not let this get me down!

Update: The teacher showed up and told me that each of the math classes will only be working on a math packet and left me with just a schedule of the times the teacher has a class.

I really winged it today, but I had a really great time helping the students with their math problems.  I felt like a teacher again; however, I don't think that...

Wow is all I can say...the more I sub for pre-K and kindergarten classes, the more I'm falling in love with these two grade levels! Who knew that these cute kiddos have such PERSONALITY!!! Today I subbed 12 prek students and I started with a smile and ended with an even bigger smile!

One thing that truly touched me today was that these students exhibited incredible morals today. Before their snack, these 3-4 year olds always say a prayer. I asked the kiddos wh...

20th Century Pilgrims & a Filipino-Inspired Thanksgiving By: Jennifer Wheeler Stepping on the shores of Plymouth Rock and surveying the new-found land, Pilgrims of the 17th century looked at this precious setting as a new hope to a freer life. Upon hearing this word, ??Pilgrims??, some may think about these first settlers that came to the North American continent from long ago. I think about my parents?? incredible journey from the Philippines to the United States and their hopes... Read Full Post »
